Fragments of Hope

the refugee life
is not for the faint-hearted.
it is a journey
to nowhere, a wreckage
of the soul on the luminous
landscape of dreams

yet, you pick up
the elusive fragments of hope
as the earth moves in silence
traversing the fatal shore;
leaving an indelible footprints
in the sand of time

you find your way out
of the struggle street (and conquer the universe)
like this cool and funky dude
from the Oil Rivers
singing the glory of the dreamtime
in the first light of dawn
